WEAF Point of Sale is one program for the shop, the wholesale store, the restaurant, the bar and the rooms upstairs. You turn on the parts you run and the rest stays out of the way — one item list, one stock ledger, one set of books and one licence, however many sides your business has.

It is used by retailers, supermarkets, wholesalers, restaurants, bars, cafés, hotels, lodges and guest houses across Africa. The program itself is not tied to any one country: prices, currency and tax rates are yours to set. Where a revenue authority requires electronic invoicing, WEAF POS integrates directly — URA EFRIS in Uganda and MRA EIS in Malawi are supported today.

Retail & supermarket

A scanner, a drawer and a queue that keeps moving. Every item priced, taxed and counted: scan or search, take the money, print the receipt — and the stock, the takings and the tax all move with it.

Wholesale & trade

Customer accounts, credit limits and statements. Purchase orders, supplier balances and returns, with what you owe and what you are owed kept where you can see it.

Restaurant & bar

A floor plan beside the till. Tables show the running total, the waiter, how long the table has been sitting and how many guests — and the board says which tables need attention before anybody has to walk the room.

Hotel & guest house

Front desk, room status board, reservations, check-in and check-out, housekeeping, guests and stay history. A room can be sold by the night, the day, the 24 hours or the hour, and a blank rate means the room is not sold that way — so “not offered” is never mistaken for “free”.

• Bookings that carry the whole party, not only whoever booked
• Extras such as breakfast or an airport transfer, priced per unit and billed at check-out
• Returning guests, with what they stayed in and what they were actually charged
• The bar and the restaurant charged to a resident guest’s room account
• Quotations, banquets and venues, and agreements in the house’s own wording

One set of books

Whichever sides of the business you run, the money lands in one place: daily takings, profit and loss, cash flow, expenses, supplier and customer balances, and what each member of staff sold.

• Executive dashboard: today’s sales, profit, cash in drawer and outstanding debts
• Best and worst sellers, by quantity or by profit
• Employees, attendance, leave, salary advances and payroll
• Role-based access, audit logs and database backup and restore
• Multi-user and multi-till, with each till knowing which part of the business it is

Tax integration where it is required

Uganda — URA EFRIS. Fiscal invoices and receipts with the verification code and QR a customer can check. Goods, services and stock declared the way URA expects, and purchases brought in from EFRIS.

Malawi — MRA EIS. The till activates as an MRA terminal and signs every receipt on the machine as the sale is finalised, so the receipt is valid and can be handed over immediately whether or not the internet is working. Purchases, returns, adjustments and stock takes all reach MRA.

A business in a country with no such requirement simply runs without it: none of these screens appear, and nothing about how it sells is different.

EFRIS is provided through the WEAF EFRIS API service and needs a separate annual subscription at weafefrisapi.space.
